You can access the settings via "Explorer", run it by double-clicking on the icon "Computer" on the desktop. If the Desk is closed the application window, you can click "start", right-click and choose "Open Windows Explorer" or simply press the hotkey Win + E.

If you know in which folder it should search for the file, then navigate to it using the directory tree in the left column of the file Manager. But if the place of the search is not known, click the word "Computer" in the same column.

Open the drop-down list of the Arrange by, placed above the directory tree, and select "folder Options and search". This will open a window with the desired settings.

Before this window can be reached in another way - through the "control Panel". To do this, open the main menu of the OS, launch the dashboard and navigate to "appearance and personalization". In the section "folder Options" click the link "Show hidden files and folders" and the settings window will open.

And you can do even easier: press the Win button and start typing the word "show". Open the main menu, the OS will display a few links, among which will be "Show hidden files and folders" - click it.

In the management window folder options click the View tab. Scroll to the bottom of the list of "advanced settings" and place a checkmark next to "Show hidden files, folders, and drives". If the object that you want to find, refers to system files, then uncheck the line "Hide protected operating system files (recommended)". Immediately after this action will appear on the screen warning about the insecurity of manipulations with the system files - confirm by clicking "Yes".

Click the OK button and after that you can start to search - enter the name of the file or a snippet in the search query box at the top right corner of the window "Conductor".
