Abdominal ultrasound (liver, pancreas, spleen, gallbladder):

1. It is recommended that two days before the ultrasound scan to exclude from the diet foods that promote flatulence (raw vegetables rich in fiber - cabbage, peas, beans; milk and dairy products; foods high in carbohydrates – cakes, pastries, cakes and others).

2. It is necessary to take sorbents (espumizan, smectite, activated charcoal), if you have observed symptoms of flatulence. The sorbents are taken 12 hours before the study. The required amount of sorbent is determined by a physician.

3. It is advisable to conduct an ultrasound in the morning, on an empty stomach. If the research is conducted in the second half of the day, you are allowed a light Breakfast in the morning, 6 hours before the procedure.

Breast ultrasound:

Ultrasound examination of mammary glands is not required training. Ultrasound is preferably carried out in the first phase of the menstrual cycle (the first 7-12 days ).

Ultrasound of the pelvic organs (uterus, epididymis, bladder, in women):

1. In gynecological ultrasound through the abdomen (transabdominal method) training is required of the bladder. Taken 1 liter of fluid (drinking water) 1 hour before the procedure.

2. When transvaginal (brachytherapy) of gynecological ultrasound training is not required, ultrasound is conducted in a free, empty the bladder.

Ultrasound of the thyroid gland, lymph nodes, salivary glands, ultrasound of vessels of head, blood vessels of the extremities, ultrasound, soft tissue ultrasound of the heart (echocardiography), and kidney do not require additional training. All studies are based on special sensors.
