When is the best time to go to the Crimea

It is best if you schedule your trip to the Crimea in the "low" or "velvet" season. Low is the period of the last weeks of may and first two weeks of June, but the season of rest is called the first two weeks of September. In these periods, there is a small number of visitors on the beaches as well as the absence of children who have not yet started or has already ended for the school holidays. Plus, even the sun is not so hot and the prices are not too high. In any case, there are certain disadvantages. In may, the sea may not be optimally warm, and in September it can rain. But comfort on a half-empty beach more, and the price will be much lower.

Cheap accommodation

For many, a real vacation is considered valid if the people at the resort stayed in a hotel, hotel or boarding house. Accommodation prices here are quite high, "all-inclusive" here, a loose concept, and can have a normal vacation, if you counted the remaining finances. If you need to save money, you should pay attention to housing in one of the villages away from the secular cities such as Alushta, Yalta or pike-perch. If you carefully look in the vicinity you can find pretty decent options for quite good money. For example, lying near the towns of Alushta, Malorechenskoye or Solnechnogorskoye, located just 24 kilometers from the city. Standard rooms in the private sector costs from 70 hryvnias, if you add three meals a day, the amount will increase to about 100-120 UAH. But in Alushta per night budget stay will have to pay about 200 hryvnias, plus the same diet for a minimum of 150 hryvnia. You can also go to the sea and with a tent, in many resort towns right near the sea are the campgrounds. The living here is free, will have to pay only rent for Parking, up to 100 hryvnia per day, but take a fee for all guests, not per person.

How to save on food

Meals in the boarding house with a small budget you can forget, but this does not mean that you have to starve and eat corn on the beach. In Crimea there are many small cafes and eateries where you can purchase the same pilaf or salad not for 50-100 hryvnia, as in a restaurant or boarding house, but only for 25-50 UAH. About nice canteens you can ask locals, they will tell you where you can eat cheaper. In major cities of the Crimean always working canteens, where prices are quite pleasant. If you have stayed in the private sector, and there is a kitchen, you can cook food on their own. So you can save even more.

In order to save money on tours, you must plan your journey well in advance. It is worth exploring the routes of buses from big cities and ticket prices in the places you wish to visit. Maybe they change depending on time and season. To save on Souvenirs you need to buy them in the back of the village, because on the beach they are much more expensive.
