Instruction
1
Sculpt start with the production of sculptural sketch. It is a sculpture that you have in mind, made in the clay. The clay for this purpose is better to take a sculptural, monochromatic. You can, of course, sculpt and out of children's plasticine, but its many colors will detract from the perception of form. To sculpt you need on the plate, a little more than the future of the product. The implementation of plasticine sketch allows you to adjust the shape of the product and to fix bugs if they arise.
2
Make plasterowou form. If the product is a simple form may consist of two parts. For more complex sculptures come up with an option to split into 3-4 parts. Set on a sculptural sketch of the parting line, pressing in on them small pieces of thin copper foil.
3
Mix plaster to the consistency of liquid sour cream. The mass should be homogeneous, without clots. Apply the first coat of plaster with a brush so it is smooth. Allow plaster to dry and apply a second coat. With figures of small size do so until the layer of plaster will not be strong enough. If you do something major, the form should be strengthened with metal fittings. It is a copper mesh, which is placed after 2-3 layers.
4
After will be applied the last layer, let the form dry for approximately half an hour. Carefully remove it from the sketch. Trim with a sharp knife for possible flaws. If necessary, clean with a thin skin, but it should be done very carefully. Express form dessiatina. It should be firm and a little ring when gently tapped. Coat the inside surface of the furniture with varnish and leave to dry.
5
If the product is large and form consists of several parts, before casting the actual part of the sculpture you want to collect. Tie them with copper wire to prevent displacement. The joints fill with plaster and let the form process to continue.
6
Spread the plaster to the same condition as the first time. Pour it into the form. Because its inner part is covered with varnish, it is not necessary to fear that a new layer of plaster will stick to those already there. Wait until dry and remove. If you need more copies of the product, remove the form very carefully, trying not to damage. Sculptural sketch is not to destroy the manufacture of all copies.
Note
Drying the form must at the same temperature at which you sculpted sculptural sketch, or slightly below. Do not place it in hot place, since the clay may leak.
For valves you should not use iron wire because it rusts.

Useful advice
Form for casting can be done not only of gypsum but also other materials. For example, suitable silicone construction.
Do not have to do the sketch. In exactly the same way you can copy an existing sculpture.
