Indications for use "Amoxiclav" are chronic and acute sinusitis, middle ear infections, retropharyngeal abscesses, chronic bronchitis, periodontitis, urinary tract infections, infections of skin, soft tissues, joints and bones. The drug is also prescribed for prevention of purulent-septic complications after surgical interventions, therapy of mixed infections and treatment of postoperative abdominal infections. Use "Amoxiclav" and in orthopedic/venereal practice. Usually a pill of the drug dissolved in 100 ml of water, and the resulting slurry thoroughly mixed and ingested.

To take this antibiotic can adults and youths and children, body weight is from 100 kg. the Average daily dose "Amoxiclav" should not exceed 1 tablet (375 mg) for 8 hours (receiving three times per day), whereas tablets of 625 mg you need to take two or three times a day. The maximum daily dosage for children should not exceed 45 mg per 1 kg of body weight. Maximum daily dosage allowed adults, is not more than 6000 mg pills "Amoxiclav 2" can be taken only for adults who are suffering serious infections or acute respiratory infections. However, their dosage should be no more than 1 pill per day.

Children from the first days of life and before the age of three "Amoxiclav" you can take a 30 mg/kg/day at regular intervals of time and divided daily dose. From the age of three the drug is prescribed for 25 mg/kg/day, dividing the dose into two administrations every 12 hours with infectious diseases of moderate severity. For otitis media, sinusitis, lower respiratory infections and other complicated infections "Amoxiclav" administered 45 mg/kg/day every 12 hours.

In the presence of renal insufficiency and a creatinine clearance level of up to 10 ml/min (or less) dose of antibiotic it is necessary to adjust or increase the interval between its reception. Before preparing the suspension "Amoxiclav", the bottle must be thoroughly shaken to allow particles of powder separated from its walls and bottom. Then two doses in a vial is added 86 ml of water and again thoroughly shake the medicine after each dilution.
