Beef, baked with a piece of

To cook beef in the oven, take:

- beef (shoulder or neck) – 1.5 kg;
- garlic – 4 PCs.;
- Bay leaf – 2 PCs.;
- onion – 1 PC.;
- olive oil – 2 tsp;
- salt – to taste;
- black pepper – to taste.

First, a piece of meat, rinse thoroughly and dry with a towel. Preheat a griddle over moderate heat, pour in vegetable oil. In hot oil put the beef piece and fry on all sides for 7-10 min. Then take onion and garlic, peel and cut arbitrarily. Put the vegetables on the bottom of the baking dish, add the Bay leaf and put a piece of beef.

Add salt and pepper to taste, cover the form with a lid or foil. Ensure that the foil tightly closed top. Put the meat in a preheated 160оС the oven after half an hour reduce the temperature to 150 and leave the dish to bake for approximately half an hour. If you want to get a savory crust on the meat, for half an hour until cooked open the foil.

Beef with potatoes in the oven

You can also vary the dish, and roast beef along with a side dish – potatoes:

- beef – 400 g;
- potatoes – 5-6 PCs.;
- carrots – 1 PC.;
- onion – 1 PC.;
- tomato ketchup – 3 tbsp;
- sour cream – 200 ml;
- vegetable oil – 2 tbsp;
- dill and parsley – to taste;
- canned corn – to taste;
- salt – to taste;
- pepper – to taste.

To start, wash the piece of meat under running water and dry it with a towel, then cut into portions. Onion peel, wash and finely chop. The potato peel, wash and cut into cubes, slices or strips. Wash and peel the carrots and grate on a coarse grater or chop sticks.

Take a baking dish or deep baking tray and brush with oil. Put the meat, salt, pepper. On top put the potatoes, brush with ketchup. Then put a layer of onions and carrots. Pour the dish with sour cream and sprinkle with finely chopped greens. Place baking sheet in oven preheated to 180oC. An hour and a half, turn off the oven, remove the beef with potatoes, place on a platter and garnish with canned corn and bunches of greens.

Juicy meat with a spicy peppery flavor

If you want to cook juicy meat with a spicy peppery flavor, cook the beef in the sleeve:

- beef – 1.5 kg;
mustard – to taste;
- sour cream – to taste;
- salt – to taste;
- pepper – to taste.

First, rinse the meat under running water and dry it with a towel. Then RUB the beef with salt and pepper and leave for an hour to marinate, then brush all over with mustard and leave in the fridge for a while. It is best to leave the meat overnight. Then coat beef with sour cream, put in a sleeve for baking and put in the oven, preheated to 200oC. After an hour, reduce oven temperature to 180oC and bake the dish for another hour and a half.
