Instruction
1
The insidiousness of this disease is that it flows initially completely asymptomatic, no bullshit. Suffice it to say that even the narrowing of the area of the lumen of the artery by 50% (twice) may not cause the patient any discomfort. So pass preventive examinations by a cardiologist aimed at detecting atherosclerotic plaques.
2
There are various examination methods: ultrasound examination of the vessels, angiography of the vessels (contrast x-ray examination). Regularly take blood tests to timely detect the abnormalities of lipid and carbohydrate metabolism.
3
Very good and accurate method of diagnosis is magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Images obtained with this method allow to detect even minor changes to structures of the body. However, it is not always possible to apply, for example, patients who have implanted pacemakers, joint prostheses, it is contraindicated.
4
Atherosclerosis of lower limb arteries is usually manifested in the form of pain, numbness, claudication. Keep this in mind and if you experience these symptoms, contact your doctor.
5
Special attention to the timely detection of the disease should be given to people predisposed to it. For example, those whose parents suffered from atherosclerosis, and people with high blood pressure who are overweight, forced to lead a sedentary lifestyle, especially coupled with unrest, stress, unhealthy habits (especially Smoking).
6
Remember that any disease is easier to prevent than to cure. And remember the rule: "no no cholesterol atherosclerosis!" Minimizing the consumption of foods rich in cholesterol can significantly reduce the risk of developing the disease (and therefore its negative consequences).
