How to make lilac color

Masters of painting were famous not only for his ability to realistically portray objects and images, but also the talent to create new shades of colors, mixing paint in different proportions.

1. The lilac color is created on the basis of purple by adding to it different shades of colors and tones. In fact, lilac is the unsaturated, pale purple. So if you write watercolor, to create a purple color, if purple liberally diluted with clean water. To create a more vivid purple in addition, use diluted blue watercolor.
2. Shades of lilac, you can create and use the purple gouache. Take a jar of purple paint or create this color themselves, mixing red with blue. Dilute purple white to get a cool lilac color. Mix purple color with light grey, if you need a rich metallic shade of lilac.
3. If you want to write still life with delicate lilac flowers, you need to use a greater variety of colors. Warm soft lilac get when mixing pink and blue colors. Play with the shades using pink instead of crimson, or a bright Indigo instead of blue. If in certain places your work is received purple is diluted with yellow, it will add a brightness and summer mood to still life.
4. Try to create soft transitions of color from the flower to the leaves, adding a little purple to pure green.
5. The more complex the color, the picture looks more picturesque. If you already have the skills of mixing colors, create a lilac by any combination of shades. Prepare your palette for the two colors: purple and pink. For purple, pick up the proportion of the red and blue colors, pink – red and white (or gray, if you want to get more dark, thick purple). If you like both of the obtained color, mix them on a clean area of the palette, adding a bit of white. After this, apply purple to the received picture.
