Instruction
1
Pick up any item that contains silver. It can be found in many products, such as coins, Cutlery, jewelry, decorative items, etc. For melting silver, these items fit best. Small amounts of silver is also used in x-rays and printing of the photos, but to obtain the necessary volumes of liquid metal will not be enough. Silver for melting can also be found in products of industrial production, for example, ball bearings, batteries, various rations, industrial catalysts, TV screens, etc.
2
Gathering a sufficient number of silver items, crumble them into small pieces, preferably of equal size, then divide by the same party. This will be their uniform heat, and accelerate melting.
3
Before you begin melting the prepared silver, remember that this is a fairly dangerous process, the molten metal has a very high temperature, and skin contact can lead to serious injuries. Take all precautions to protect yourself and others.
4
To melt silver you will need a fire, the temperature of which should not be lower than 962 degrees Celsius (the melting point of silver). To achieve such a flame in several ways, for example, by a gas or gasoline burner. Place the crushed silver in the crucible (a container that is resistant to the temperatures necessary for melting metals therein) or any refractory ceramic jar and preheat it to desired temperature. The melting process will be quite a long wait until the silver melts completely.
5
This molten silver must be used very quickly before it had time to harden again. Use heat-resistant tongs and pour the liquid silver into a prepared form, e.g., of plasterboard, it can be a form of Cutlery, decorative items and even jewelry. If you cast an object with a complex structure, the form you need to stir constantly so that the metal was able to fully fill it.
