Most sewing machines sold with a needle already inserted. But the needles — the subject is not universal, they come in different thicknesses. For each tissue it is necessary to choose. So try to learn to insert the needle at once. Use a small screwdriver to remove the screw and gently remove the needle, trying not to flip. View and remember how she was standing. Typically, the needle position is indicated in the instructions. Read it and save it. Please note what needle is in your machine. They can be cut or round cones. Further buy such needles.

Considering the needle, you will see that on the one hand she has a long groove. This will be your benchmark, because the position of the groove should always be the same. There are cars where this groove should be located directly in front of the seamstress. As a rule, they provide only a zigzag line. Ordinary household machines groove faces to the right. If a needle with cut bulb, the slice is different machines, or in the direction of the seamstresses, either from the sleeves.

Before changing a broken needle, or replace it with thinner or thicker, disconnect the electrical machine from the network. Put the needle bar to its highest position. This is done by using the flywheel. Remove the screw of the needle holder. Remove the old needle and put it in a box or stick in a pincushion. A broken needle read the numbers before throwing it out.
