Insert the Windows XP installation CD in the drive and restart the computer to boot from disk and install "recovery Console".

Follow the on-screen prompts until a window appears with a proposal to restore Windows using the recovery console and press R.

Select the desired operating system (at a multiplicity of installed OS and enter the administrator password in the confirmation window of the office.

Enter the value of the attrib at a command prompt to change the attributes of a file or folder.

Use the batch command input_file [output file] to execute commands from a text file.

Use the bootcfg recovery and startup settings. Suggested options:
- bootcfg /add to add the copy of Windows in the boot menu;

- bootcfg /rebuild - to see all copies of Windows with a choice of copy to be added to boot menu;

- bootcfg /scan - search of copies Windows on all disks with a choice of copy to be added to boot menu;

- bootcfg /default to specify the boot entry by default.

- bootcfg /list to display all the systems in the boot list;

- bootcfg /disabledirect to disable redirection in the boot loader;

- bootcfg /redirect - to enable redirection in the boot loader.

Use the commands cd and chdir to change to a different folder.

Use the command chkdsk drive /p /r, where /R - full check disk and fix errors and /r locates bad sectors and data recovery, to scan selected drive for errors.

Use the cls command to clear the screen.
