Select mission of the poem. In any verse, the author put the individual sense. It may not be a certain moral or point, but just the experiences or feelings of the poet. Try to determine what exactly you want to convey in the poem before you write the first line. Accurate target definition is similar to routing - if the path is clearly laid, and the ship quickly rush in a way.

Prepare for writing. Select a few favorite verses that you can call for yourself "icons of poetry", re-read them. Pay attention to the techniques that are used by the author. If you have any difficulties with the choice of poets, prefer classics and symbolists, such as Blok, Nekrasov, Akhmatova.

Do not extend the poem. Even the great poem difficult to read, and especially to perceive, if it's stretched. 4-5 quatrains enough so you can invest in them your idea and the reader to the last passage has not forgotten the meaning of the first.

Think about the girl, where you write a poem. Record born in the mind images and ideas. Think about those things that you have, and what is special about it. Use the material as the basis, starting from which, you will be able to continue.

Try not to use a verbal rhyme. Variants are "to love is to appreciate beckon" are included in the category of "cheap" rhymes and spoils the impression of the poem. Try, at least, to combine a verb with a noun or other parts of speech, for example, to "love the thread"

Forget the everyday slog. The poem is not just transmission of information, is poetry. Don't be afraid that some expressions sound unconventional or even a bit unusual. How hard your inner world, so are allowed to be complex and the poem.
