The first question one might encounter when making vocabulary cards is the size. Not worth much to dwell on this problem; the best option - from the size of a business card (9 5 cm) or less. Although the best option is to focus on yourself, because you, not anyone else, have to use them.

So, buying at the office supply store, or cut into the required number of cards are determined by which words we are to remember that it can be disparate units from the book you are reading, or collected on the topics of phrases and words, or simply a mosaic of the "pieces" of language that does not fit in the head. Having defined the set, written on one side of the card the word in the target language, on the other - the translation into Russian. Sometimes it is necessary to add the word transcription, but if it has irregular shape, especially in the case of irregular (strong, irregular) verbs like go-went-gone or adjectives, like little-less-the least, it is extremely useful to record and options forms.

First, you can be looking at the word, remembering its translation into the Russian language. Looked, spoke, remembered, and translated, turning over the card, sure. If everything is correct, put the card in a separate stack. And so do the second, third and so on. When all the cards will be in the "spent" pile, take them again and already looking at the Russian version, remember the word in the target language and also delayed.

When all cards in the stack are worked out "both side", for convenience to draw them with a rubber band and put aside, but it is highly desirable to return to each acquired a pack at least once a week until, until you realise that learned the whole set of words and expressions.

Tip: when Cycling through the cards, say the words aloud. This will accelerate learning and facilitate their incorporation into everyday speech.

Happy learning!
