How to use virtual disk

There are quite a few different formats of virtual disks. The most common of them is an ISO and MDS. Know all of them done is not necessary. Any program to work with virtual disks supports almost all formats.

First you need to install a program which will work with virtual disks. One of the most convenient and popular programme called Alcohol 120%. You can download it from the Internet and install it on your computer. After installation, restart your PC.

Run the program. After the first run it will create a virtual drive. It will take some time. The default is to create one virtual drive. But, if necessary, their number can be increased.

Often the program is used to open the virtual disks. To do this, in main menu click on "Search images." Select the hard disk partition which contains the virtual disks. After the program will find images, add them to a menu of Alcohol. Now you will see that the list of images displayed in the right window of the program.

Click on the desired virtual media right-click. On the shortcut menu, select "Mount". After a few seconds the disk image will be mounted on a virtual drive. Go to "My computer". There you will see that in the list of devices there is another drive. You can now view the contents of the virtual disk.

If you need to write the image to a physical disk, it is possible to do so. Insert a blank disc into the drive of the computer. In the program menu, select "Record CD/DVD from image". Then specify the path to the virtual disk that you want to record. Click "Next". In the next window, select the check box beside the line "Record" and press "Start". Will start the write procedure of the disc. When the procedure is complete simply eject the disc from the drive tray.
