Before starting mud therapy at home, be sure to consult your doctor to make sure that it won't cause you harm and to decide what treatments suit you the most.

Mud application – a procedure in which therapeutic mud is applied on a certain area of the body. If the area of application is small, the procedure can be done every day. But usually 1-2 days of treatment alternating with 1 day of rest. Heat pack with mudYu to a temperature of 38-40 degrees. Apply it on the affected area. The duration of treatment should not exceed 15-20 minutes. After this time, rinse off dirt with warm water. The course of treatment is 12-18 procedures. Do not apply therapeutic mud on the neck, the head and the heart.

Quite often, the treatment used compresses. Dilute the mud in the water, temperature approx 40 degrees, put on the cloth. Place the cloth on the affected area of the body, the top wrap tightly with wax cloth, plastic film or the compressor paper. Cover with a warm blanket. After 15-20 minutes, rinse the sore spot with warm water without soap and cover with heat again. Treatment is recommended lying. The course of treatment is 10-20 procedures.

At home you can do baths for hands and feet. Dilute the mud in a basin or bucket of hot water. SMEs shall have a temperature not above 40 degrees. The time of holding such local baths for 15-20 minutes. The course of treatment – 10 procedures.

When gum diseases (e.g., periodontal disease), you can use the mud balls. Prepare a gauze pad with a size of 6 × 10 cm Take approximately 20 g of dirt and heat in a water bath to a temperature of 42-45 degrees. Put it on the gauze. The cloth roll along. Prepare two such cushion: one is placed along the upper jaw and the other along the bottom. Somknite teeth. The duration of the procedure 15-20 minutes. The course of treatment is 12-15 procedures. After the procedure rinse your mouth with warm boiled water.

Mud therapy requires adherence to certain rules: - be sure to consult your doctor because there are contraindications; - damage of the skin before the procedure and afterwards lubricate with petroleum jelly; take a steam bath lying down, if you feel unwell, immediately stop the procedure; - after the treatment take a shower no more than 2-3 minutes - be sure to relax after the procedure, it is best to lie down for an hour in bed;- if during treatment you have a weakness, palpitations, shortness of breath or other unpleasant symptoms, consult your doctor.
