You will need
  • - wrench set with nozzles;
  • - the lever (a small crowbar, crowbar, etc.) to rotate the camshaft manually.
  • - feeler gauge for measuring clearances;
  • - torque wrench;
  • - manual of KAMAZ.
Instruction
1
First, you need to shut off the flow of fuel, then gently remove the manhole cover located in the lower half of the crankcase (to rotate the crankshaft manually), and covers of the cylinder heads. Be very careful, otherwise damage the strip. Using a torque wrench, check that bolts to engine block (19 to 21 kgf/m).
2
The flywheel of the crankcase install in the down position. To accomplish this, pull back the lock then 90 degrees to the flywheel. Crankshaft install position corresponding to the fuel injection for the first and fifth cylinders of the engine (look at the pictures, as well as additional information in the operating instructions). The crankshaft must be turned with a lever, crowbar, crowbar or similar item when inserting it into the located on the outside of the flywheel holes.
3
Using the same torque wrench, check how tight the nuts on the studs fixing the rocker arm of cylinders, subject to adjustment. The resulting value should fluctuate between 4,2 and 5,4 kg/m. If necessary, tighten the nut. Also don't forget to check the clearance between the toe of the rocker arm and valve tip. Its value must have a value such that the probe 0,25 to 0,35 feed valve and for the intake safely passed, and 0,3 and 0,4 – voltage. If the gaps this requirement do not match, correct them using special adjustment screws. The tightening torque of each adjustment screw should be equal to 3,4-4,2 kg/m.
4
Left to start the engine and listen to how it works. If adjusting valves is performed correctly, there are no knocking sounds and other extraneous noise in the gas distribution mechanism should not be audible. Install the dismantled cover of the hatch of the crankcase and cylinder heads in its place.
